Housing counseling provides buyers the information they need to buy or build their first home and give them the knowledge they need to prevent future foreclosures.
The current program includes a combination of financial literacy training, homeownership counseling (both pre- and post-purchase), loan packaging services and rental referrals. It provides an essential link between the organization and its core constituency of lower-income families, primarily Spanish-speaking farmworkers who comprise the largest share of renters in ABH-managed rental properties and new homeowners in ABH’s developments. |

Housing Counseling, typically provided via one-on-one counseling sessions, offers credit repair and financial education based on the buyers’ needs. The primary emphasis is pre & post purchase counseling and loan packaging.
